On a similar, but different note - I went to the garage today to stick some petrol in and whilst there decided to check my tyre pressures. Last time I used their air it was 20p. This time, 50 feckin pence  evil:

Being a belligerent sort (on occasions) I decided to see if I was getting value for money, so I inflated all the tyres to an indicated 32psi (recommended) and then checked them with the digital gauge I had in the glovebox. Result? 29, 28, 28 and 27 psi. Armed with this knowledge I went back in to the kiosk and told them I wasn't prepared to pay half a squid for such a load of shite. "Gupta" (for 'twas his name displayed on the name badge) thought about it for a few seconds then opened the till and lobbed me 50p.

Little victories like that make the days bearable!
