No not any more we don't.
Due to some of the drugs I now have to take the slightest cut and the bleeding takes ages to stop, Snoops and Uncle no doubt know the problem well.
I had been getting pretty fed up of the mess I seemed to be making everywhere until I remembered my father using Styptic pencils.
To my surprise they still make them and I purchased three yesterday. Just had reason to use one and it works. cloud9:
I really need to get out more if the use of such a thing can make me this happy. noooo:

My bleedin' problem is Clopidogrel and Asprin taken daily.
I know just what you mean Miss D.
Clopidogrel is usually given for up to a year following "stenting" to prevent clots forming in the stents but for reasons known only to themselves my cardio docs have kept me on them for 7 years now.
The GP is not happy about it but as I tell him "They decide ~ You prescribe" ~ This normally gets the GP ranting about NHS costs and how he is duty bound to try and reduce them. I then mention £125,000 pa salary for a GP and he shuts up and writes to the cardio people who tell him "We decide ~ You prescribe" lol: lol: lol:
If they have you on Clopidogrel you will bleed from the slightest scratch and bruise by simply brushing against anything. I am constantly a mass of bruises....... Oh and they are fecking hooooge pills aren't they?

The Clopi stuff is horrible. I was told that you were only allowed to use it for 6 months and then it was just Aspirin.
Also the Clopi injections (3 a day, into stomach) when I was in ICU, left me looking like a herd of heffalumps had run over me.

Indeed Snoops I am on Clopidogrel and Asprin taken daily. They must also make you forgetfull for I am Miss C not Miss D unless I am forgetting that I am Miss D and not Miss C, buggered if I can remember now. noooo:
Tel the hugest one I have to take is a statin last thing at night. It's about the size of a sodding football.
Bruising is unsightly, had a blood test on Wednesday, one of the GP's at the surgery decided to test me for gout. doh: Within hours I looked like a herd of heffalumps had run over me.
I have a pre-paid certificate for my drugs. I have/need to take 10 different meds per day some of which are taken 4 x per day some 2 x per day some 1 x per day so it makes sense for me to do this. I requested that I was given caplets rather than tablets just to make things a little easier but was told no as this was the more expensive option. Next week I may point out that me not taking said medication was potentially a more expensive option than giving me caplets. evil:
