Title: Interesting company names
Post by: Marley's Ghost (Imbiber of Spirits) on August 07, 2007, 12:09:22 PM
Round here, where I live, there's a company with a most imaginative name (at least, I think it is!).

They are a pool supplier - garden not game of - and their name is:

AquaPoolCo

I think that's neat - play on the sound of Acapulco and the image of sun and water I assume.

Anyone come across any other imaginative names for businesses?

I do feel that hairdressers have the lead in this genre. Perhaps we should exclude them from the game. whistle:

No, I don't see why. At least, not as long as they're genuinely interesting!

Anyway, who do you think you are coming along and 'policing' my thread? Eh? Bloody beagles!

A local seamstress advertises her business as "A Stitch in Time"

But I still think hairdressers are too easy. The one just down the High Street is called Way Ahead which I think proves my point.

More or less on topic, I saw a van in Birmingham a while ago signwritten:

R. Singh and sons, Builders.

"You've had the cowboys, now try the Indians"

I wish I'd had a camera. cry:

There is an Asian run car wash on the road into Manchester, the sort where half a dozen little chaps run round your car with leathers, sponges and buckets etc, that advertises itself as "THE BEST HAND JOB IN TOWN"
I wonder every time I pass it whether or not they realise.
