Ok, apart from Knock Down Ginger, does anybody have any particular street/playground, or for that matter any that they hate?

I was good at jacks too mainly because my parents bought me a set every Christmas for 10 years as a stocking filler.

At Brownies we played  'kick the can' I seem to recall it involved hiding and creeping around to get back to base and to let everyone know you well, kicked the can. Shrugs:

I spend many a long hour playing with woodlice pre school age.  There were loads living around the coal bunker at the bottom of the garden.

British Bulldog ....... until the Head banned it following several incidents involving broken limbs

Quote
"His neck was flexed forcibly while his head was against the floor, and immediately after the injury he had severe pain of the cervical spine ... [which] shows that games such as British bulldog can be as dangerous as rugby football."
British Medical Journal, June 1985
