Well no bugger mentioned global warming when the Titanic got close and personal with a biggish lump
-
Sorry to piss on the chips but...
Glaciologist Dr Richard Hodgkins - who has studied the Svalbard glacier - said the area was a sensitive location and an early indicator of climatic changes.
So, not long then, in fact pretty instantaneous, rather like a chunk of ice falling on the deck when you're a few feet from an iceberg ;)
Steward: "Would sir like ice with that?" ...... C-R-A-S-H
Passenger: "Ferrrrrrrkin' 'ell! ... that was quick"

Well he would wouldn't he? ::)
Not likely to be talking himself out of a job.

I?m all for being able to switch on the news 24/7 and see what?s been happening in the world but why do they think they have to fill then entire day with shite like that?
I can?t believe anybody actually watches the news for more than a few minutes ? I just click on the ?headlines? bit and have done with it.
Oh for the good old days when ?breaking news? meant that somebody had been assassinated or they?d landed on the moon. Nowadays the chances are that somebody in Birmingham has had a particularly melodious fart. ::)

It might have been wiser to use the term 'mellifluous' rather than melodious. Melodious is too close to malodorous for comfort!

Not really, they were offered a quiet re-location package when things got a bit noisy in Alaska, And they never quite figured out where they were.
