Well, that's it done!
Bi-lateral Facet Joint Denervation (aka Radio Frequency Lesioning of the L4/L5 Facet Joint Nerves)
Not a particularly pleasant experience but hopefully worth while if means a pain free future!
Time, as ever, will tell - at the moment I have a numb and slightly less than fully functioning leg which will, hopefully, be temporary.

You don't want to be having on of those temporary legs, they make you fall over. noooo:
