Meanwhile, my very own chosen team manager responds to this storm in a friggin' FA cup:
Former Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers spoke up for Morgan and suggested any possible time-wasting was "nothing sinister".
Rodgers, who spent two years at the Liberty Stadium before moving to Liverpool last summer, joked: "I know Charlie well. He used to do it great for me! He was taught well!
"He is a good boy is the kid. He loves his club and he loves his football."
He added: "Don't get me wrong, ball boys are well tuned in to what is required in the game.
"There was maybe a wee bit of gamesmanship by Charlie but certainly nothing sinister.
"I think any manager, player, coach would be happy if their ball boy did that."
Rodgers. If you'r still that passionate about SFC andd that rancid little shitty rich daddies boy and his almost laughable playacting, I suggest you FUCK OFF RIGHT BACK THERE! Angry9:
Get OUR house in order before you start getting involved with others, bloody tosser.

I pick Man U, Growler has first dibs on Liverpool, you and Mort have joint owneship of the Hammers so each of you picks a striker for most goals IIRC apc has first dibs on the Saints
All as long as Mort says OK like

So what you bet that your Scouse bastards get more points than my Scum in last 12 games then?
GOAL - Liverpool 0-2 West Brom - Ronelu Lukaku (90 mins)
A swift counter-attacking move from West Brom as inflict more punishment on a desperate Liverpool. James Morrison releases Romelu Lukaku and the striker finds the corner for his 10th Premier League goal of the season.

I have a cunning plan to rescue grudge match compo
IF I can find a team that won't now play ManU then I could have the and not be in breach of my 50 odd year loyalty to ManU
So me Mum's team is Tottenham, I can have Spurs
be careful about tempting fate. We used to take the P out of City and look what they went and did last season. Humilation, then frustration and then cruel twisting the knife last 30 seconds of injury time of the season stab in the guts. And the worst thing was they were better than us and deserved it
So is Wenger going to stay?
Is it his fault?
Man U let Fergie have 4 full international strikers in his squad, Rogers was allowed one + a friendlies only international striker and one was crook last night.
Steve Clarke is no mug, he knows put two marking Suarez and you're going to struggle
GOAL - Arsenal 0-1 Blackburn - Colin Kazim-Richards (72 mins)
Not the impact Arsenal were expecting after that triple change - as Blackburn lead! Wojciech Szczesny can't hang on to Martin Olsson's shot and Colin Kazim Richards reacts first to stab in off the post
30 shots to 6

GOAL- Everton 1-0 Man City - Leon Osman (32 mins)
What an incredible goal from the boot of Leon Osman. Seamus Coleman finds the England international who cuts across the ball from 25 yards out and fires an effort which flies past Joe Hart in goal. It's Osman's eighth of the season
Michael Owen is to retire (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21839361) cry:
Shame but the right decision, he'd lost that blistering pace but he had a lethal eye for goal and impeccable behaviour.
Haven't been to watch West Ham for a couple of years now redface:
IMO it's a good move. Would have been better if there wasn't the insistence on retaining a running track. Then WHU could have demolished it completely and built a proper football stadium in it's place. But we know the government couldn't allow that. Means it fair that WHU shouldn't pick up all the costs of conversion.
Let's hope that with 60,000 seats to fill prices will be set at a reasonable rate. Otherwise it will take a more successful club than they are (and have been for far too many years. cry:) to get capacity crowds.
I wonder which sponsor will get naming rights?
And I can get a train directly from my local station
No footie Saturday. sad32:
Hate these internationals spoiling our PL footie diet. evil:

What was Carroll doing with that idiot flying leap? If it hadn't be so weird he might have got red. Other than that he certainly is on form again, a real danger throughout.
Well done Uncle n Al....... :thumbsup:Seconded but not quite safe yet so we shouldn't tempt fate on their behalf

Wondered how long it would be.... ::)
No defence for his actions (NOT the fans, NOT scousers in general before someone suggests that) but let's be seeing the bite marks please.
Was a bit of a strange game for him ........hero villian etc etc......
Thing is ..he has done it before ....... noooo:
. . .Indeed. Ajax FC before he came to us, which makes the whole scenario even MORE totally inexplicable.'bout sums it up
Awesome talent, one of the top three in the world, but omg, why the hell does he behave like this?
Many very saddened/shocked/disgusted LFC fans this evening I can assure you.
I just want to see the photographic evidence of the teeth marks on the Chelski players arm before I start getting as hysterical as some are already doing.
Thing is. LFC cannot really afford to lose him.
He's been absolutely immense for us...one of the best...EVER.
Bit like Cantana, an absolute complete nutter.

He'll get banned for the rest of the season and be back for next As Rednapp said on Sky, people have short memories in football
Well he's apologised for it so it's a smart bet that he did do it.

Time for Wenger to demand that it's not a selling club he's managing?
Moyes has managed to eff this up before the season even starts. He needs Rooney, the club needs Rooney but saying in public he's a bench warmer was dumb dumb dumb
Mourinho may get him next month, and make him the all new Drogba.
Have always liked Rooney. He's not the brightest spark, he's done dumb things shagging wise but see him on the pitch and he's all heart, smiles and devastating ability and application.
And there's just one of the catches. Can you see Rooney learning a foreign language?

Listening to the radio yesterday lunchtime they were giving 13/8 for Jol to be the next Premiership manager to go, be interesting to see the odds today. They were also giving the best bet of the day as 5/1 for Newcatle to win... I was driving so never got chance to put that one on cussing:

Not just me who thought it........
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says Juan Mata's proposed move from Chelsea to Manchester United raises questions about the fairness of the January transfer window.
Chelsea lie two points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal and have played United twice this season.
However, United still have to play the Gunners and fellow title-chasers Manchester City again this term.
"Maybe the rules should be adapted for more fairness," said Wenger.
"It opens up questions about the dates of this transfer window."

Appalling decision presumably aimed at making sure Howard Webb still looks to be the world's top ref. Well he isn't, not even close, he shouldn't even be trusted with the Ryman's League 2.

Same story as all season. Way too little attacking with confidence and pace, slowly pouring 9 people into the last 1/3 and then vulnerable to the counter attack.
All that money on Mata and he and Rooney too often in the same space doing the same job. That's what a decent coach sorts out but then Moyes cleared out all the coaching team.

.....So all those years that 'blue nose' had loads more money to spend than all of the other clubs in the same division does not count? rubschin:
City have been cheating and it's going to hurt them next season. How sad ;D
Hopefully they have saved some munny, I cannot see them earning so much over the next few years. noooo:
But City were cheating and if Chelsea etc have had to make tough decisions to stick to the rules then why should City be allowed to get away with it.
Fair enough City will have to deal with it.
United have an even bigger hill to climb, no star players as they are not in europe, old men that need to retire, no munny.....middle of the table next year is all they can hope for. Old blue nose still hanging around. noooo:

I think it'll be blue nose out of joint once they have the new manager. He'll get a Bobby (just don't make waves) Charlton courtesy role. Fergie buggered his reputation with Moyes. Probably a bit unlucky for Fergie but on balance he had his share of good luck too.

Don't know if it's true but just read this here (http://dioclese.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/ffs-its-football-season.html) and it made me laugh:
And down the road was a paper shop owned by Ron 'Chopper' Harris late of Chelsea and England. He didn't earn a squillion quid a week and when he retired he opened the aforementioned paper shop. Over the door it said "Ron Harris - Chelsea and England - Cigarettes and Confectionary". He was alright too. No airs and graces with Ron...
I used to drive past his shop every morning on the way to work. One day, someone had painted 'Chopper' across the window. Ron washed it off. The next day it was back. This went on for about a week. In the end Ron got a bit pissed off with this - but having a sense of humour, he changed the sign to read "Chopper Harris - Chelsea and England - Cigarettes and confectionary"
I went past the next morning and somebody had painted 'Ron' across the window.

Manager Gus Poyet entered the tunnel and gestured towards the dressing rooms after realising the situation.
"It's like a pub team starting without a player who is having a fag in the car park," said BBC pundit Chris Sutton.
I can see them officially renaming their home ground to the Stadium of Shite at this rate. lol:

He may be past his peak now but Everton might just bring out a few stunning years to add to what's been a brilliant club level career. And I hope they do. Shame that that 2004 international form never really got the chance to reappear.
But at United there was too much baggage and there needed to be a parting of the ways for both their sakes.
Giggs was still a v good player right til the end but he'd learnt not to try playing as if was still a 17 year old.Rooney ??????????????He was always rubbish, never did like him

Frank de Boer gone at Palace ~ Bilic must be praying for a win tonight (as am I)Boer was clueless both with his team and the media. You'd be daft to let Bilic go but I rather suspect that anything less than a win tonight and you will. Big Sam being available as he is

Koeman out at Everton. And there me was thinking it would be Bilic eeek:Always sad to see a decent guy get the push but he was a woeful looking figure while his team performed woefully yesterday (Rooney goal aside). He had to go
Expected to discover that Bilic fad been sacked this morning. Pleasantly surprised.Could be, more like Monday though
So a shite footie weekend for all in the VP except maybe TG then
He's gone. No surprise there. noooo:
I wonder who is lined up to take over?
Can anyone explain to me how you can follow a sport where chaps who get a tap to the ankle writhe in pain and get carried off on a stretcher ? In World War I blokes would fight on with a couple of missing limbs - now they are wimps largely coached by whinging continentals. The English have given the world many great institutions, but this ridiculous game is not one of them.Because we're better at it than you Ozzies are? [/tempting fate mode]
Down here there is a World Cup of rugby league. Another English disaster, mostly played in Lancashire as I understand it, but at least they don't dive.

So Moyes is the new West Ham manager. Not too happy with this, he hasn't done that well since leaving Everton after all.Possibly your least worst option right now. Would love to see his first conversation with Hernandez

Well I reckon Moyes will be gone shortly but Allardyce isn't the answer. We need someone big who will be given the funds to buy the players needed. You should have kept Moyes on, he did a good job of turning your team round by giving Arnautovic the front striker role that brought out the best in him and the rest of the team

The reason the matches have moved all over the weekend isn't the fault of Sky (and BT Sport), it's the smaller clubs insisting they are so moved to avoid clashes with their games .
NoThe reason the matches have moved all over the weekend isn't the fault of Sky (and BT Sport), it's the smaller clubs insisting they are so moved to avoid clashes with their games .
Is that what Sky told you?
Having looked in to it seems that pressure from smaller clubs led by Bob Lord the then chairman of Burnley set the ban on live televised matches between 2:45 and 5:15 on a Saturday. So I'm in the wrong.Ta
I still detest Sky. cussing:
They monopolise top sports and charge an arm and a leg to watch them. They do? Their rival BT shows European games, the FA Cup and a fair chunk of premiership games. BBC and ITV between them showed every game of the recent World Cup. BBC is having such massive coverage of the Euopean Championships and ITV covered the Tour de France

Speaking of detestable there are some interesting questions being asked about Mike Ashley and Newcastle...
https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/money-gone-14-transfer-window-15011709 (https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/money-gone-14-transfer-window-15011709)
My opinion on each of the questions:
1. Because Ashley has the mentality of an East End barrow boy. Buy cheap and flog on as soon as possible.
2. The spending would suggest that Ashley is a lying tosser and there is more chance of getting Apey to open his wallet. (I'm mitigating against much stronger language here).
3. It wouldn't surprise me if Ashley pulled a shitty stunt like that.
4. Backed into a corner more like.
5. Ashley's enforcer, making sure money wasn't spent.
6. If he does then he is even more of an ignorant arrogant grasping fuckwit than I previously believed.
7. He doesn't care as long as he can keep gouging money from the club.
8. Has Ashley had any home improvements or flashy personal purchases lately?.
9. Mike Ashley is a tossmonger who doesn't even support Newcastle.
10. He's blustering. Previous behavious would indicate he doesn't care about his staff, just his wallet.
11. Mike Ashley is a greedy bastard (again mitigating language - whatever you choose to replace it with tould still be tamer than what I'd like to use).
12. Ashley is probably looking forward to it in order to get a cheaper manager.
13. We hope and pray that it is because he thinks he can sell it but going from what appears to have happened with the Amanda Staveley led attempt his ego is getting in the way.
14. Given how little Ashley has spent on the club? I'd say it would be lucky to be worth half that.
I've been a frustrated Toon fan for years and by now had reached the point where I had all but given up so as far as the #IfRafaGoesWeGo campaign I hope the rest of the Magpie Group carry it through. The only thing that detestable cockwomble cares about is his wallet and this is the only way to stand up to him. As was said in the open letter, You are only one man. We are a city. We are United. Personally I'd like to follow that mantra with Sell the club, Fuck off and never darken our doors again.

Twas indeed.Or just boycott the last game of the season?
Compounded for The Man who had given his season ticket to a mate to use the previous week and was due to collect it from them.
Trouble is said mate has now had the misfortune to fall off a roof they were working on and sustained multiple fractures ( pelvis, ribs, arms, legs) . He is now in intensive care in hospital - family visitors only.
He is just trying to ponder how to go about sending his best wishes to his family whilst asking them to dip into his wallet and get his season ticket back for the last game of the season rubschin:
Watching it last night on MOTD2 even Mctominay was just ambling around for the second half
We need a tiger like captain as Bruce, Keane and Neville were. Someone you’d be frightened to go back in the changing room with if you didn’t give your all on the pitch. Management is never just about being cuddly
And sack one or three, doesn’t really matter who but I’d save Linderlof and de Gea and probably Lukaku who does put in a shift when he’s fit

A bit of a shit? Most Newcastle fans hate Freddie Sheppard and his sons with a passion yet they would have welcomed him back with open arms if it meant getting rid of Ashley. He put the bare minimum in to keep the club in the premier league purely for the free advertising he could get for Sports Direct. Insulted the entire fan base by renaming St James's Park to the Sports Direct Arena, constantly forced out any manager who asked for a workable budget in order to take the club to a decent level and let the stadium fall into a state that is a bloody embarrassment. He could have cashed out long before now but killed off previous attempts to buy the club out of pure greed trying to get far more than the club is worth in it's current state. If he wasn't losing money hand over fist at the moment the sale would never have gone through.
Wigan in administration...... rubschin:Not a great shock to be honest. Don't think it'll be the last either. Someone will rescue them surely won't they?

They were wrong on way too many key decisions, something like 1 in 5 of them.Easy to say.I see there's going to be a vote on continuing with VAR. My guess is that it'll be going. :thumbsup:They need to fix it not dump it
What's wrong with "The referee is always right even when he's wrong"

But this endless investigation of every key decision from every angle is bizarre and clearly at times they feel so rushed they miss key points.
VAR should be only when a team captain requests it and they have to say exactly what decision they think is wrong and like cricket and tennis they should only get a limited number per game.say 3.
They were wrong on way too many key decisions, something like 1 in 5 of them.Or, to put it another way, right about 80% of the time. Good enough for me and, as they say, it evens out over a season.
No evidence to back that. It's random. They were wrong on way too many key decisions, something like 1 in 5 of them.Or, to put it another way, right about 80% of the time. Good enough for me and, as they say, it evens out over a season.
True, but you would have to be a very unlucky team to have every bad decision go against you.No evidence to back that. Sadly Uncle's mob couldn't pull of a miracle and get your Arsenal the title
