Title: What you's collect then?
Post by: GROWLER on October 07, 2012, 08:11:33 AM
Apart from Moany who collects hangovers, Miss D who collects voddy bottles and men and Nick who collects seemingly harmless but actual weapons of mass destruction....like toasters and bbq's etc, what do you's collect?

Calories, loads of 'em. Then I go to the gym to get rid of some. Then I come back and gather even more

And on that note, the torture palace beckons.
Ipod - check...
water bottle - check...
towel - check...
gym pass - check

I'll be going too, but I'll also be going to look at another gym, as this one is going down the pan.
To cut costs, they've even un-subscribed from Sky now, so no more watching footie whilst treading the mill. cussing:

When I was a kid I collected stamps, matchboxes, cigarette cards and conkers ~ don't most boys?
I had a phase of collecting those mini war comics "Commando" etc.
Then I found girls and that seemed a much more worthwhile pursuit.
Nowadays I seem to collect hospital appointments.

We certainly could swap appointments .... Given that one seldom sees the same doctor twice in a row they'd prolly not even notice.

I have two today. Cardio Clinic and Diabetes Clinic ..... which do you fancy?

You'll need a "Mid Stream Sample" to take along with you but I did all the blood tests last Wednesday so you're spared the needles. whistle:

Not a problem.  You don't need to take anything but your wonderful self but be prepared to be electrocuted repeatedly just to see which nerves work and which ones don't. eveilgrin:

. . . would these be "Local Authority" type meetings?

If so, they're worth double 'cos they go on for ever and achieve the square root of "bugger-all"!

One Meeting regarding a Landlords Forum I am organising focusing on policy changes in the private rented scetor and the impact of benefit changes / Licensing requirements of properties and the proposed London Rental Standard ......are you in yet ?

Then moving on to this afternoon we have the strategy meeting for targeted intervention for potential 'Green Deal ' initiatives .....would you  prefer this ?

. . . think I'll stick with the fracture clinic - it sounds more fun!

Seems I may have to have  me poor bent finger (http://www.virtual-pub.com/SMF/index.php?topic=10893.0) broken and reset 'cos it still hurts like fook and is still swollen like a blimp!

I was talking to a bloke up the road last night on me way out like...

He said, "Everybody I speak to is ill or has something wrong with them".

I replied, "Not me, I'm in perfect health...  angel1"

Do you know what he said, eh, EH???

He said, "Oh, you'll get something soon"...  cussing:

May be harsh, but actually it's true.
You're on borrowed time mate. and anything you borrow has to ultimately be paid for.

Day nearer the grave meanwhile, and less life in front than you've already had, so don't look over yer shoulder as it'll make you wanna cry like. sad32:

I have been to both clinics this morning 'cos I didn't think you'd get here from Sheffield in time.
You will be pleased to know that neither of us are pregnant but our blood sugar levels are a bit high so we need to increase the dose of medication to counter it.

Next on offer is Flu Jab at 3.36 on Wednesday followed at 3.40 for medications review with GP.
Then appt at 2.30 with consultant urologist on 29th to get biopsy results on tumours removed recently.
In Nov I have appt to see Cardio people in Liverpool and one with dentist in Rhyl.
