Going to start up my own website to try and attract a bit more private work.
With a view to sharing, I mentioned it to G.Snr/Jnr who is in the same line of business as me, but he wants to go down the all singing and dancing expensive route.
The way I see it is that a free diy site may not be quite as glamerous as purpose built one by a web designer, but it'll be servicable by me (hopefully), and will also be a damned sght better than the one I currently haven't got.
Had a browse around and there are plenty to choose from, but WHICH one to choose is the big question? rubschin:
Like being in a ruddy sweet shop. Banghead
Any recommendations anyone?

Would need to be one that I can add piccies to, as and when, and also updating pages and services using proper English and NOT that 'puter writing coded stuff nonsense.
-
BM would do it for a golden coconut
-
Not strictly free of course - it is paid for by the advertising they put on it for you.
I guess you have to decide if this will distract from your message or not...?
-
A web site and domain are so cheap these days it pays to pay have your and avoid any restrictions/impositions - free ones can be taken away at time and you have no ownership.
Can't remember who mine is with now (renews this year) but it was something like £20 for 2 years - site and domain name plus umpteen email mailboxes.

How much is hosting per year........ rubschin:

I use the personal/small business option - fiver a year or thereabouts, plus domain registration - .co.uk is cheap and just as good as anything else.
