Title: Dunno whether to put this here, in the Commons or the Comedy Room
Post by: Snoopy on February 24, 2013, 01:45:19 PM: Minor attends the local comprehensive known as a High School hereabouts.
He reports back on what he likes to refer to as "Arseholery" from the staff.
The latest from a conversation led by the Head concerned "Research Methods" aimed at guiding the students through expectations in essay writing.
The students were asked to name various research methods and one suggested "Trial and Error" only to be corrected by the Head and here is the quote: "We don't like to use that expression as it is suggestive of failure. We prefer to use 'Trial and Improvement'. Please keep that in mind in future."

Mind boggling political correctness gone mad would just about sum up my feelings. I have told the lad to ignore it.

Seriously, toned down a bit mind, that is how you should deal with these PC types. Everyone seems to be scared of 'offending' these days. Failing that, take Snoopy's advice to his lad and ignore it.
