Ahhh.... Stan Getz. I caught his last concert / gig in London before he died. Brilliant  8)

* goes to check CD... Blimey, 1990 it was! And he died June '91 *

I know Jazz is a minority interest but if anyone's interested you need to check out theJazz on digital radio... and on t'Interweb for our overseas readers  ;)

My SiL gave me this CD last Christmas .... knowing her she picked it up in Tesco for ?2.99 or something like that but what a gem. Digitally Remastered of course and all "sleeve notes" in French. Stan Getz, Astrud Gilberto and Joao Gilberto. All originally recorded between 1952 and 1973 ~ most '62 to '65.
If some techie would tell me how I would post a sample but I do not personally have the ability without guidance.
I could rip a copy onto CD and post it to you if you fancy it.

Mmmm. I like the idea. I'll pm you if that's ok. TBH it may well duplicate much of what I have of Getz and Gilberto but much of it's on tape and not digital.

I'm currently contemplating transferring scores of tape cassettes onto digital media but in reality much of it is available either very cheaply (as you said) or via P2P networks and I'm wondering whether it's worth the trouble  confused:
