Title: Come on Tescos, ASDA et al
Post by: Just One More on July 03, 2013, 07:18:19 PM
Go the opposite way  (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-23158579) , announce that anybody using their phone at their checkouts will be refused service

There's a sandwich shop in Eastleigh that has a poster on their wall that says something like, "Pleae don't be offended if we serve the person behind you if you're too busy on your phone"... gets my vote

Over here you are lucky if the cashier in the bank is not on the phone talking to her mates and can be bothered to serve you sometime after she has sorted out her Friday night.  cussing:

I am very disappointed with Sainsbury's they should be giving that member of staff a pay rise.... These people drive me mad not only at the checkouts but in stores bumping into you or blocking the isles.. angry041:

It is downright bad manners, what is wrong with people today.  Are manners a thing of the past.... rubschin:

Wot you all said ^

What I hate most is when you're being served in a shop and the phone rings and they stop serving you to answer it.

This lot over here did have manners once, when they were looking for munny. But it was done in a nice way.
Grandad used to ride a donkey into the village and have respect and manners. He prolly owned a restaurant/taverna and gave you and your guests one hell of a night's entertainment.....the grandchildren (who could not wait for him to die  noooo:) have sold all his land and bought Mercedes and designer clothes.  noooo:

The girls that werk in banks are tarted up as if they are just off to a night club....Full make up, nails, hair, mini skirts etc..

They spend more time on the phone than they actually werk.  noooo:
I use a phone when it is necessary, not to show off how "important" I am.  noooo:

I fully back the cashier that did not want to serve that ignorant prat.  Thumbs:

Drives me mad, drives me even madderer when they are chatting away on their phones whilst ignoring screaming brat. cussing:

I was thinking about this earlier....

What has happened to these people that they have the need to constantly communicate...?

We didn't use to did we...?

I remember when I first went 'out on the road' selling stuff my 'communications device' was a pile of 10p pieces and you found a working phone box when you could and called the office (at least once a day)... Beyond that you wouldn't speak to anybody on the phone until you got home in the evening and used the land-line there...

What is so important now that you have to have a conversation in the supermarket...? Shrugs:
