Title: Corded Drill Driver
Post by: Barman on November 29, 2013, 08:59:52 AM
My battery drill/screwdriver has packed up... well, not exactly packed up but the battery doesn't hold charge any longer...

So, I've been looking for a reasonably priced new one - preferably with a  lithium-ion battery...

Consequently, Amazon are sending me e-mails every five minutes with the latest offers on battery drills...

Today though they have informed me of an amazing new product - the Skil 6222 Energy Corded Drill Driver!

Quote from: Amazon
With the Skil 6222 Energy Corded Drill Driver, Skil Europe introduces a corded drill/driver with the convenience and easy handling typical of a cordless tool but with the added benefit of non-stop power and performance. This power tool gets its energy straight from the mains--it's not necessary to charge or change a battery. The Skil Energy 6222 is lighter and less bulky than cordless drill/drivers, offering unbeatable convenience.

It is just an electric drill! (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004Z0VX48/ref=pe_274681_41906681_em_1p_0_ti)  lol: lol: lol:

I found it funny....  redface:

What BM said.  It's only an 200W girlie drill and anyway Black and Decker make better ones for less money.

Yep, the ethos of the man formerly known as Nigella's squeeze continues.  I always read any One Star reviews (http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B004Z0VX48/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_pop_hist_1?ie=UTF8&filterBy=addOneStar&showViewpoints=0), Seems this drill is a heap of shite.

Would love to see how Skil can make it work "non stop" in those power cuts.  Still at least it wouldn't smoke or electrocute then.

Indeed, they are also quite roomy in the members-only area.
