Title: On being invisible
Post by: Nick on October 02, 2014, 02:55:10 PM: Between my many and various errands earlier I sat down at a table outside a coffee shop and started using their Wi Fi.

A waitress came and went merrily taking orders and delivering coffee and such.

SHe totally ignored me.

After 30 minutes I went inside and presented myself to her at the coffee machine. She looked past me and then turned and walked away and began wiping surfaces. I stood there for what seemed like ages holding out a fiver. Nothing.

Eventually another operative approached and enquired what I wanted. I said, "Am I invisible?"

SHe looked puzzled and said no. I said, "SO why have I been ignored for the past 40 minutes. All I want is a coffee."

I finally got a coffee.
