I remember this prog from the very beginning (sad I am really). Used to work shifts and so ended up watching this in the afternoons. Twas never the same after Matt and Dolly went, and the it was ruined when they got rid of the sheep.

What sheep? What happened to them? I feel like I have lost a flock of friends now sad24:

Mmmm. From the second link:
Former Emmerdale star Ronald Magill, who played Amos Brearly, has died at the age of 87, his long-time friend Bernard Palmer has confirmed.
Was he an uphill gardener then, this barman that's karked it?

"long time 'friend'" is the usual euphemism in these cases.
