Suzi and I had lunch in a wine bar in Clapham today. It fancies itself as posh (and the bill was heart-stopping cussing: )
They had posh wines all over the place with price tags on. Near our table was a sample bottle of port (2011, so not ancient). If you wanted a bottle (to share angel1 ) in the place it was £280 eeek: eeek:

Crap service too. We knocked the 12.5% discretionary charge off the bill eveilgrin:
They asked if we had booked. We were the only customers in the 2 hours we were there..........

You need to use vouchers or lunchtime meal deals
Can get excellent value for exceptional food..just needs planning whistle:
