A while back I got a referral from my doctor. Tried to book it but couldn't get an appointment date but I got reference and a promise to call me back by the 20th April.
No call back so popped into the surgery as specified on the referral.
Me: "they haven't called me back"
Spawn of the Devil "have you contacted them?"
Me: no, it says contact your GP surgery"
Spawn of the Devil, taking the form from me "Have you rang this number" pointing to form
Me: no, it says contact your GP surgery"
Banghead Banghead Banghead
Surely it must happen all the time noooo:

I think we have done this before. Two years ago one told me I couldn't see the quack for three days. I said it was more urgent than that and to let him know I was in the waiting room. He saw me two minutes later and I was in hospital within 20 minutes.
I reminded the receptionist of this next time she tried to block me angel1

Not good is it and you know if you complain they will just make life worse.
Ours are variable. I'm not sure if they specially breed the bad ones or it's some special schooling

I think perhaps they think they are doing you a favour as the NHS is 'free' and you probably don't need to be wasting their valuable nail filing time andyway... ::)
We've seen two quackters here and they've bother been splendid experiences, no waiting, good service, polite and helpful.
You have to pay obvs. The quackter yesterday cost $110 but even locals pay too - subsidised visits to the quckter are $30 as I understand it...

Tis wot we should do here, esp for A&E. Not that much though
I didn't pay when I saw a Doc in Adelaide, maybe it's an NZ thing

I can't see it working here. There would be so many exemptions (old age, low income etc.) that few would be paying.
