A letter arrives to inform me that my GP is retiring in 2 weeks and that I need to register with a new GP.
I am given a website address and spot a surgery that I already knew about that is about 50 yards from me.
I call them and say I wish to register. I have to go and do this in person.
Why?
"It is our policy to establish that you are in our catchment area"
Me: I am 50 yards away. My address is....
Her: No, you have to come in in person.
Me: Do I have to bring proof of my address?
Her: No Banghead Banghead Banghead Banghead Banghead
WTF?????
