Well that was an anticlimax   noooo:

A chat and then an examination with the consultant. PSA not particularly high but enough to trigger this referral. No MRI: Mainly because their one was being refurbished and the temporary unit set up in carpark was overcrowded so my case didn't warrant waiting around all day.

Got to have another blood test which will be followed by a telephone consultancy so probably nowt to get worried about.

I did overhear a conversation about taking a biopsy involving stirrups and a local  scared2: so glad it probably won't come to that.

All in all a bit of a waste of time but better to be safe than sorry.

Sounds like what happened to me.  The NHS have lowered the PSA level at which they go for further investigation.  Although my PSA level last November was lower than the previous year, with the new threshold levels it now triggered investigations which basically consisted of finger up bum and then the MRI and now they check my PSA level more often.  I'd rather they did that than have something that needs more attention and it get left too long.
