'An autistic man with autism is taking supermarket giant Sainsbury's to court for refusing entry to his assistance cat.'
Apparently Sainsburys claimed that cats are unhealthy compared to dogs and if they let one cat in they'd have to let loads of cats in. I reckon they'll settle out of court because their stance is distinctly iffy

"A nearby Tesco lets Ian visit"
He should have just turned around and gone there.
I would argue that there is no official training for an 'assistance' cat unlike that with dogs so the cat cannot be classed as an "auxiliary aid"
As an aside:
An autistic man with autism rubschin: if he didn't have autism then he wouldn't be an autistic man.
