I noticed that someone I vaguely know was made a Dame in the Honours List. I was not surprised  noooo:

I have crossed paths with her several times in different contexts and each time I was left scratching my head as she always seemed to be head or Chair of some outfit or other. No great intellect, just ruthless with sharp elbows.  Bit like that wumman who was CEO or TalkTalk, had some hand in the Cheltenham Racecourse and was put in charge of vaccines or summat by Handycock/

I was ranting about her to Nod and checked her Wiki entry. It is clearly written by herself and leaves out some of her more ignominious ventures, but fuck me. Is there anything she has never been in charge of?? SHe has just slid from one thing to another!!!

I note that despite having a humble start, Moss Side; daughter of a butcher, she managed to get educated at a good Grammar school. A fortunate start.

Me too! ANd perhaps you also. Made sure we got The Boy into one as well.

But is there anything left that she has not been in charge of? We have not heard the last of her. She has got her eyes set on the House of Lords I am sure!!

I see the 11+ failures in my locks. They all got trained up as plumbers and leccies. They are the ones with the £200000 boats and the villas in Portugal  cussing: cussing: cussing:
