So we are in the midst of cleaning out loft and garage .
A lot of stuff will go to charity shops but there are a few good items that could be worth a bob or two.
So for example there was a nearly new bike (belonging to The Man's son ). He had ' stored' it with us some time ago and here shall it remain noooo:
So put it on Facebook Marketplace and the usual starts.
1st immediate response is obviously the scammer as they are pinging away within seconds.
Scammer " is it still available"
Me",yes"
Scammer " can I collect tomorrow. I am working but will organise with DPD to collect and they will give you money"
Me " goodbye" ...block them
2nd person " is it still available "
Me " yes"
2nd person " can I offer you xxx amount of pounds"
Me " no - the price is non negotiatable "
2nd person " where do you live "
Me " the region is in the advert , I will only provide address once the sale has been agreed , and that will only be a postcode initially and once you are here I will let you know the number of my property"
2nd person " your area is quite far from me so will cost me quite a bit to get to you "
Me " goodbye.." block person
3rd person " is it still available"
Me " yes"
3rd person " I can collect today if you knock £10 off the price "
Me " it doesn't matter to me when it goes the price is as stated
3rd person " but I am only prepared to spend the money I offered "
Me " goodbye " block person
4th person " ring me this is my number"
Me block person
5th person " Is it still available"

5th person " thats great , I am fairly local can be with you in 45 mins if that is convenient and will bring the cash as requested"
