Don't tell me ~ Mr Wench has a glut.
People never learn to stagger their planting with such things and then can't give them away.
Next year pick some when very small and pickle them.
Better yet plant the seeds two weeks apart and allow no more than two plants to grow to maturity..

Fried green tomatoes and other recipes using green tomatoes
Southerners really do eat fried green tomatoes; and they eat fried red tomatoes too. If you haven't tried them, you're in for a treat!
Native to Mexico and Central America, it's not clear how tomatoes came to the United States. Thomas Jefferson grew them in the 1780s and credited one of his neighbors with the introduction, but Harriott Pinckney Horry recorded a recipe "To Keep Tomatoes For Winter Use" in 1770. There is a folk legend that they were introduced by African slaves who came to North America by way of the Caribbean, and some historians believe that the Portugese introduced tomatoes to the West Coast of Africa.
There are plenty of ways to coat and fry your tomatoes; use bread crumbs, cracker crumbs, cornmeal, or flour. Some people dip them in beaten eggs before dredging, while some just dredge then fry.
Salt and pepper them first, and use a little bacon grease for flavor if you have it.

Alternatively send them to me ~ I love 'em fried.
If you can't bring yourself to do that and if they are a reasonable size ~ pick them, put them in a brown paper bag and place them in a dark drawer or cupboard. In about two or three weeks they should have ripened enough to eat.
That was my Granddad's trick and it always worked for him.

Interesting! If nothing further happens to them I shall have to take a closer look!

I loath that pair ..... somebody ought to have been shot for giving them employment in the first place. Probably the only people on TV who have to talk up to the children.

I really like them redface: Met them once and all.
You have to admit that it was very apt though!
