Oktoberfest opens

Over the 16 days of the event, an estimated six million litres (13m pints) of beer are expected to be drunk.

Wait just a minute... who is behind the BAR?  I just found Wenchy's photo in the link above... and it started today.

All that talk about being at home alone with a fish supper was just a Red Herring.  whistle:

I've been to that event and ALL the girlies serving on behalf of the brewers look like that.

Well they did after the first two hours.

I was there about eight years ago. Totally bonkers. Everyone should do it at least once in their life.

Hoffbrau if memory serves. Certainly very drinkable and better than the Guinness at Cadwell Park...

I was drinking it with William Dunlop (nephew of Joey) last night. It might explain his somewhat inconsistent riding today and why his bike went bang in the main race...

He looked well enough this morning though, unlike me who overdid it somewhat in Louth and is now paying the price for the chicken Phall...

The town of Louth itself? Well, that's a whole new thread.

I had a girlfriend from Louth once. I went there for a weekend. Everyone there looked the same. I don't think they get out much. noooo:

Indeed. The phrase "uncle dad" seems apt. A bit like Cheam.

A lot of them were very pointy, and if the inbreeding has continued are prolly even pointier now.
