Title: Bloody kids...OURS.
Post by: GROWLER on September 27, 2007, 09:09:43 AM
Growler junior/seniors birthday today. Taken the day off to take him out for a nice walk with a nice country pub and tasty meal and pint to round it all off.
Really looking forward to it, as the weather is totally beautiful today. cloud9:

Just rang him , and woke him up. ::)
He informs me that he's too busy with work, and will ring me later this afternoon so he can come and collect his pressy.

He'll have a long wait, cus I'm shortly going out for a nice walk with a nice country pub and tasty meal and pint to round it all off.....ON ME OWN! evil:

Today my mood is now shitty, and Mrs Growler is here all day doing her bloody tax return amidst much muttering and paper hunting.
Yet another reason to go out.

Too late. I'm back, and my mood has plummeted to new depths of darkness. thatsit:

Felt positively ill whilst out walking. Got half way to my destination at the top of a 'big hill' feeling drained and weak, to be greeted by a bastard school trip....all 30 of the screaming hollering litter dropping little gets. evil:

Decided to turn around and camp out half way down for a butty and brew instead. Been there 5 minutes when i noticed/heard the little gets coming down behind me. eveilgrin:
Packed up and strode on quickly to get away from them.
Got back to me car and got stuck on the wet grass. I'd stupidly parked at the top of the slope unable to reverse back because some knob had parked directly behind me.
My fault really i suppose for not planning my exit properly. ::)

Had to wait 20 minutes for a passing hiker to help push me out.

Get home to be greeted by an agitated Mrs Growler, who informs me that she's been trying to get hold of me from the hossy, where Growler jnr. had been taken after slashing his hand open on bottle in Science lesson.

Growler senior/junior has just rung me to inform me that he's free now if I'd care to entertain him.
That's nice. Cheers! ::)
The answer was NO! Havin' me tea, and goin' for a lie down for a couple of hours.
Wish I'd never got up this morning tbh. surrender:

Ouch! hope his hand soon mends. I was going to pack my walking boots, for the trip upcountry, but if you have party's of 30 or more litter louts going up and down your local mountains, I had better not. I would have to be bailed out of one of the local nicks, and no I don't mean our Nicks, if you get my drift.  noooo:

Always park your vehicle in such a way as to be able to make a quick exit every time.  First Rule...You never know when you will need to.  ;)  You know it makes sense.

I really should know have known better, so I was bloody livid with myself. evil:
Didn't feel too well tbh, so I'll put it down to that. ::)
What made it worse was the geezer that was pushing the car was telling me how to extracate myself out of the mud. redface:

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for a 'thanks for the pressie dad' phone call. ::)
