More people from black communities should be stopped and searched to help tackle knife and gun crime, a leading black police representative says.
Keith Jarrett, the outgoing president of the National Black Police Association (NBPA), said he would be pressing police for such an approach.

I’m astounded that this man didn’t actually do something about this while he was the president of the NBPA rather than when he was leaving it… rubschin:
But then there is probably a book in the background somewhere. noooo:

Funny how they all wait until retirement is looming before they speak their minds. Makes you wonder 'bout an upcoming book as you say BUT it also serves to convince me that throughout their climb to office and subsequent tenure, whilst drawing down the big bucks, every single one of them has been lying their bloody heads off. Now with the promised "honour" letter having been received and the large pension secure they have no reason to hide the truth.
And they wonder why we don't trust them.
For all that has been said here and elsewhere about Tony Blair I am convinced the man still does not understand what it is we have against him. He does not know what he has done wrong. Same as this black fella. Not a clue that he has just admitted that he has lied consistently to secure his position, his OBE or whatever.

Agreed, they’re all the same… toe the line; say the right thing and we’ll look after you. noooo:
No doubt he won’t be forced to wait ‘til 68 to draw his big, fat gold plated, index linked pension either. cussing:

What makes me seethe is that there IS a National BLACK Association.
A national WHITE association would, by its very nature of existing, be racist.
As for the 'toeing the line' comments, they are absolutely correct, people that refuse to go along with the Establishment line have an uncanny tendency to end up as Unemployed, Junior ranked. Gay, Paedophilic... or dead.

Black is a very poor choice of name here because they actually represent all ethnic minorities, be they black, coffee tinted, yellow, beige etc.
The police also have a Gay Police Association.
Still ~ it's not much different from all the white ones being Masons I suppose.
Oh and listening to the man himself he actually called for Police to stop and search all teenagers they suspected might have weapons ..... be they black, white, blue or sandy-grey russet. He was on the radio earlier.

Pink is a colour too.

Um… the OP wasn’t really about searching people but the dishonesty of the guy to wait till he was the ‘ex’ whatever before bringing it up…
However, as you have brought it up I’m all in favour of the plot stop and searching as many as they like. Might make the average ‘youf’ think twice about putting a knife/gun in his belt before going down the shops…
