Two kids get mown down on a motorway, so what do these people do? Why they go onto the motorway of course, to lay floral tributes.

Kieran Coupe, seven, and his friend Guy Davies, six, died when they were hit by three cars as they crossed the motorway with their scooters on Wednesday night.

Me! Open views! Hahahaha! Ask anyone who knows me - I basically hate everyone and everything! (Apart from Mrs TMR and my Suzuki. And Ms TMR. And Jeremy Clarkson. And Young's ordinary, obviously)

It's all our fault.
The safety fencing was either absent of ineffective. Obviously the children (and adults) are unable to recognise the hazard to life that wandering around motorways present.
It seems we are destined to have 25 foot electric fences around every conceivable area that may be deemed vaguely dangerous, and I suppose we'd better have another guard fence to prevent the unknowing from electrocuting themselves on the safety fence.
And... We had better have warning signs (in fifty two languages, and Braille) with audio variations as well to guard against accidentally walking into the guard fence and injuring themselves.
Guards should be stationed every ten metres to assist people in the comprehension of the dangers and shoot those that don't listen.
Did I miss anything?

Flood lighting. I think you missed the 24hr flood lighting. After all this took place at night and they also need to be protected from the dark.

An investigation has been launched into the death of a man who was hit by a van as he ran across a motorway, The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) said.
He died on a road leading to the Dartford Tunnel.
An IPCC spokesman said: "At 5am this morning a young man was killed on the tunnel approach road, A282 (M25) near Bow Arrow Lane, Dartford."

I've been up there and witnessed some of these total utter dorks, wandering around as if they are simply out on walk around the local designer outlet village. Tits. At the very least, they should be fined AND made to pay for the rescue sevices to get their fat stupid arses, which is where they obviously keep their brains, off the mountain.
They'll no doubt go home crowing about their little adventure, claiming hero status for their 'bravery' for being up there totally unequipped in the first place. Arsewipes. evil:

Not being really very fond of foul weather I tend to avoid mountains.
But, in this era of mollycoddling and insulation from danger and access to instant help 24/7 most people seem to be completely unaware that the weather is going to be, in any way, different at the top of a mountain than it is at the bottom.
One bloke actually said he expected it to be fine because "I live in a 20th floor flat and it's always fine up there." No. the windows didn't open confused:
Seems to me that these idiots should be required to check a walk plan in before going up and if they fail to pass muster on dress and equipment, then go home or sign a form certifying that you are on your own when you get into trouble.
And, of course a next of kin contact.

No, I think causing own death by incompetence should be applauded as a good job well done.

Anyway getting vaguely back on subject again this is a beauty, driving the wrong way up the M6 doing about 70 in the fast lane:
Pensioner drives wrong way up M6
An 82-year-old woman was stopped by police after she drove for four miles the wrong way along an unlit section of the M6 on Sunday night.
Police said "numerous" drivers spun out of control and one car crashed swerving to avoid the pensioner's Peugeot in the fast lane near Shap in Cumbria.
Patrol cars halted the woman, from Windermere, near Shap Beck. No-one was seriously injured in the incident.
A spokesman said she could face a charge of dangerous driving.
Sgt Paul Brown, of Cumbria Police, said the pensioner was taken to Penrith Police Station for questioning following the incident.
Remote area
He said: "She's quite confused about what happened.
"We've established that she was trying to travel between Carlisle and Windermere and has somehow managed to make a wrong turn and has ended up coming back up the motorway."
A police spokesman added that it was a "miracle" a serious collision had not occurred.
He said: "We believe she was going the wrong way for up to four miles and she was travelling between 60 and 70 mph in the southbound fast lane.
"The motorway at this point is remote without street lighting and drivers travelling southbound would have only been aware of the approaching vehicle as it was almost upon them."
The driver of a Daewoo car was treated for whiplash at the scene after crashing into the central reservation to evade a head-on smash with the Peugeot.
The Crown Prosecution Service will now decide if she should be charged.
