Title: Blood
Post by: TG on November 05, 2007, 01:45:52 PM
I am a blood donor so I thought this story would wind me up.

http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30100-1291543,00.html

But for some reason it doesnt. At least the blood will go to someone that WANTS it.

Shame about the kids growing up with no mum but thats religion for you, full of fun and high jinx.  point:

It's 'God's' word and surely. with him being omnipotent and such, would not have written something so vague about 'consuming' blood but have said 'thou shalt not have a blood transfusion' back in 3000BC or whenever.

Come on Mort, if the great sky fairy had been omnipotent then there would have been 5 horsemen of the apocalypse mentioned. Death, War, Famine, Pestilence and Nick.

Leave 'em to it, I say.

Part of the deal of freedom is that others are free to adopt whatever fairy story they want.

The way I look at it is, they may be misguided, but at least they have the courage of their convictions and only hurt themselves.

Not something that can be said for an awful lot more of them so-called 'believers' whose faith seems to make them want to hurt us.
