I looked him up. He is 71 eeek:

Possibility of adding 'I was there the night Tommy Steele died' to your portfolio of celebrity meetings then? whistle:

I wouldn't rule it out evil:
-
I thought he was already dead. redface:
Tommy not Nick I mean.
Nick obviously displays most of the characteristics of a living, sentient being.

You're thinking of that other one that played the trumpet prolly...

Does Tommy play the trumpet then?

Does Tommy play the trumpet then?
No but Roy Castle did ~ and that would make as much sense as the rest of this thread
-
Oh yes, it was him. rubschin:
I never liked him. Too cheerful.

And blamed his fatal illness on passive smoking from appearing in clubs where smoking was permitted. ::)
Total tosser IMHO

He was a record Breaker tho... whistle:
-
Throughout his adult life Roy Castle suffered from agoraphobia. For the greater part of his career as an entertainer he was unhindered by the condition - but his role as the main presenter of Record Breakers proved challenging at times. Unfortunately for Roy, many of the multi-person record-breaking attempts were recorded in the vast BBC TC1 studio at Television Centre. At 995 square metres (10,250 ft²), TC1 is one of the largest television studios in Europe. The prospect of several hundred hula-hooping schoolgirls or bagpiping soldiers inside a large studio would cause Roy great anxiety. However, he prided himself on being a professional entertainer and he improvised many novel ways of managing his condition. For example, when filming in TC1 he would arrange with the producer to have a large wicker laundry basket placed out of camera shot, into which he would dive to take refuge from his panic attacks. His co-host Cheryl Baker would often sit on the basket, thus providing Roy with the comforting knowledge that the lid could not be accidentally removed.[4]

I can sympathise with that ~ and the desire to have Cheryl Baker sitting on my face. lol:

Oi! Leave Roy alone, he was alright! He even managed to get me a Blue Peter badge while I was there.

You come cheap ~ unless it was a Gold Blue Peter Badge ~ they are quite rare.

No, just the normal one - which I believe are still worth a little bit, IF I still had it...

A badge stealer too... noooo:
Did he... ahem touch you in any way? whistle:

Yes. His passion for life and humanity touched me deeply. I was about four for fuck's sake - all I knew was I beat him at tiddly-winks and he sorted out a badge because of that!
Wonder if he "did" things to Valerie Singleton to secure it...
Shame I don't still have the badge... It came to a very poor end...
