Title: Nasty Noises
Post by: Barman on April 27, 2007, 06:37:00 AM
Had to take the car into the garage this morning ? it has been making a ?funny noise? from the front end (wheel bearings, drive shaft, etc.) which has got worse over time. Mrs. CyrpusGrump can?t hear it at all and to be fair, with the radio on neither can I.

Given my lack of mechanical knowledge, have I been wise to throw myself at the mercy of the garage or should I have waited ?til something broke?

Still Pounds?

He has just called and said it is uneven tyre wear ? two new tyres, balancing, tracking, etc. and of course you are buggered if that hasn?t fixed the problem.

Mechanics are the same the world over I fear?  :sad2:

Hmmm.  ?168 equals a 'funny noise' eh!

I don't think I'll bother mentioning the 'creak' I get when I bend down...  I may not be able to afford it.

Oh I think you’ll find that’s a very expensive noise!  evil:
