I have struggled manfully with an assortment of lap-tops trying to salvage the magazine (which you may recall I was working on so well before the heart attack) My PC is away at the menders, I cannot afford to replace it at this time. For the past two hours I have tried every combination of lap-top, CDR, Flash Drive, Memory card etc. I can see a perfect copy on the screen but can I copy it or even print it? NO I F*****G CANNOT evil:
So if my lap-top (Compaq Evo N1015v) cannot do the job, perhaps the wife's Dell Inspiron Lap-top can. NO! .... OK let's brave the THW's bedroom and borrow her Iradium Lap-top to see if that will do it ...... NO! Banghead
As a last resort I have dragged the boys' (my very old) Atlantic PC running Windows 95 downstairs and coupled it up ...... I gave it to them to play games on. B@ST@RD thing does not have the facility to even insert a pen drive let alone write a CDR and it will not recognise my state of the art printer, the instructions for which clearly state that it will only work with Windows 2000 or later cussing:
I have spoken, quite gently, to my resident geek who tells me he hasn't even started work on my PC yet 'cos I orginally said he could take until the weekend Angry9:
Do NOT, please, make any "helpful" suggestions because they will not work today. I will take all I have saved on my little memory stick + all that still to be typed to the Library where, they tell me, I can have the use of one of their public machines for an hour today and another hour tomorrow. Can't let me have any more because they are fully booked by pensioners learning to use computers. thatsit:
I am fvcking livid.

Have a pill?

I took two an hour ago. Feels no better.

Mine are due!
