I see Panorama this evening is likely to spark (snigger) heath and safety concerns over the use of Wi-Fi technology.
BBC programme Panorama found that radiation levels from wi-fi in one school was up to three times the level of mobile phone mast radiation.
The readings were 600 times below the government's safety limits but there is ongoing debate about wi-fi use.

Luckily I am getting out of the Wi-Fi market at the end of this month for totally different reasons but I can see that unfounded health stories like this can have a disastrous effect on the marketplace.
It seems to me that high technology products like mobile ?phones and wireless networking products should be proved to be safe in the same way that drugs go through an approval process. If that were the case media companies wouldn?t be able to take cheap shots at the technology without actually proving that there was a case to be heard.
I really do hate this media hysteria based on little or no facts or understanding about the products or technology themselves ? and the BBC should be above it.

They said the same when fire was invented.." Its all very , nice and warm and you can make a decent cup of tea on it, but sme bugger will get hurt by it, you mark my words!

I run an extensive Wi-Fi network in my village but ADSL has come to town and I can?t really compete any more. I?m switching it all off at the end of this month.
I think your shares are safe but it depends on what scare stories like this do. I must say I was relieved to have made the switch-off decision when I heard the news yesterday morning?

I watched this last night on the Sky+ dowhacky.
I was appalled ? I can?t remember ever seeing such a biased programme which was obviously put together with the sole purpose of scaring the general public!
There were simply no facts presented in the programme at all ? the radiation was described as ?similar? to mobile phone (GSM) radiation yet it is at an entirely different wavelength.
There was no comparative data presented ? for instance the amount of radiation from a TV, PC?s display, or any other form of radiation which freely enters our homes.
Worse, they gave credence to the woman that was clearly a lunatic and had lined the inside of her home with tinfoil yet they admitted that in scientific tests she couldn?t reliably detect the radiation that she claimed.
All in all it was a farcical waste of taxpayers money ? to whom does one complain (anonymously of course, I don?t have a TV licence)?

You all appear to be blinded by the radiation of natural light.
The method is simple. Labour controls the beeb, the beeb show this tosh, wi-fi is taxed due to its obvious dangers and its impact on climate change, Brown builds a summer house at the back of number 10.
