A "policing pledge" outlining standards for police in England and Wales has been launched by the home secretary.

Jacqui Smith said forces would have to meet minimum targets in areas such as call-handling and dealing with victims.

It follows a report from the Chief Inspector of Constabulary, Sir Ronnie Flanagan, who called for the service to become more "customer-focused".

Surely the customers must be the criminals. We, the general public, are the fvcking employers you arse! Get that through your bonehead and we might, just might, get back to reality.

no no no Snoop, she got it the right way around. Remember the entire justice system is geared up to benefit the criminal as long as they are smart enough, not the victim.  cussing:
