Title: Work: a pact
Post by: Nick on May 22, 2007, 01:55:24 PM
Right we mostly work, but clearly have unfettered access to the interweb.

Presently I have to:

Write a report (deadline - er, when I say so)
Write 4 more reports of 2000 words each (deadline May 29)
Make 16 long phone calls (2 tomorrow, 7 Friday, 7 Monday)
Do a lot of tedious filing
Call a partner company
Prepare some material for my next trip to Hereford
Chase my website designer
Get on with my blog (elsewhere)
Compose an online survey (today, but won't take long)
Make another long call about a project in Bristol

I assume others have "things to do".

How can we help each other achieve these exciting goals (and thus make money)?

Temporary banning might be one option. WOrking agreements may be another.

My elder daughter works as PA to the MD of an international company. On her desk (which is the size of HMS Ark Royal's Flight Deck) she displays as sign that reads "You have my utmost sympathy, however my hormones DEMAND that you f*ck off and stop bothering me"
When that information is displayed even the MD tip toes past!
I could have told him that she takes after her mother. evil:

The Pact is...

bollocks to work.

If you run your own business you will do enough to get by or starve, your choice.  If you are a minion, who cares?  Do the bare minimum to survive, everybody else is.

Just glad i can access this from work, will make the day a little brighter!
