I'm not a great athletics fan but I do make a point of watching the London Marathon each year. I get to see the agony, the ectasy, people far less able than me completing this event putting me to shame. 26 miles+ in just over two hours, and at the moment it looks like the mens world record could be broken
Some mornings I don't feel I could drive the 25 miles to work, let alone do it on foot

Well I suppose someone had to mention it. Personally I think they are all fools and I am fed up to the back teeth with it already this weekend. Every bloody news broadcast, every live TV channel (as opposed to the 100+ that only show repeats). When will they accept that I don't give a sh*t about the bloody marathon. Banghead
There are better ways of raising money for charity than all that posing and "look at me" nonsense. If the 35000 people running(?) in it today donated 10% of their salaries to charity each year they would far exceed the amount they raise by causing massive congestion problems in London, putting huge strain on the City's medical services and getting on my fvcking nerves. cussing:
Every marathon runner should be boiled in Thames Water with their own smelly trainers.

I shall be doing my own version of the marathon by trying to drink 26 pints of Young's in under six hours. Now that's a proper athlete!

'ow's he going to get the dog past all those bollards in Docklands? Poor animal won't have a leg to stand on. He could be in there for days.

We stopped off on the way back from Bracknell and I had two pints of Leffe. Blimey that is some strong brew. Two pints of Young's now put away. Only 22 more to go.
