We didn't watch it this week ~ because of Brian Blessed. He does to me what fingernails on a blackboard do to people.

I thought BB was great… the ‘Gordons Alive’ joke was a great start!  lol:

A stark contrast in our reactions to ‘the other place’…  rubschin:

Grates on my nerves. The man is just so falsely over the top and has such an overinflated opinion of his own worth (which IMHO is about 6 pence) that I count any time spent watching him as wasted.

Glad I decided not to watch it having read all the comment here and elsewhere.

I have, I confess, never liked him as an actor ..... first sighted on national TV as PC "Fancy" Smith in Z Cars .... when I found him offensive. Nothing I have seen him in since has changed my mind I'm afraid.

But..... Thats what makes him funny.  noooo:

If it is an act, then it is a good one, or if he really is another hermaphrodite luvvy (which he probably is) then he is unwittingly extracting his own urine as well.

Either way, I find him most entertaining.

I am sure you are right but his lack of humility just grates. Sorry but we have to agree to differ.

Still, it would be a boring world if we all like the same things. tunble:

Humility? I doubt he has been humile at any time in his entire life.

Victoria Coren Mitchell, Eddie Izzard and Romesh Ranganathan on tonight. Should be worth a look.

I'm still waiting for someone to have a flash of inspiration and put Eddie and Boris on the same show.  lol:
