5 childen = 6 weddings (one liked it so much he went back & did it again!!)
Christmas is damned expensive!!
Wouldn't have missed any of it (well almost) for the world! whistle:

Sunday..... Miss P is now Mrs....... I'm sure everyone had a brilliant time, just wonder how many are nursing sore heads this morning. If any of the esteemed party logs on today, our deepest congrats to the bride & groom...now 'Mr & Mrs' and to those who did all the hard work.... you can now breath a sigh of relief. Even if the 'relies' didn't all get on, they will have still eaten the food you provided, drunk themselves silly and be recounting it for months.
Continue the party for a couple of days.... make the most of it!!!!
Love to all. ;)
We will continue to raid the bar in your absence BM. Slate has been wiped clean (bl**dy efficient cleaners here!!!)

I shall be 61 on 11th July coming.
Married at 19 years and 3 months ~ had son when I was 21 and daughter two years and 3 months later. To save your aching brain that means that my eldest is a boy and he was 40 this year. His sister will be 38 in August. The son has had two wives and is now living with someone else (I have never met her) By his first wife he had two children and by his second one child. Daughter had one child by her first marriage and then divorced and has since remarried. There will be no more off spring from her!
Wife number 1 and I separated in 1986 and divorced in 1987. I remarried in 1988. Unexpectedly (because the medics said it was not possible and we, stupidly, believed them and threw away the contraceptives) we had a daughter in 1993 ..... several failed pregnancies later (see Cherie you are not the only one!!!) we had a son in 1998 and another in 2001. My first wife was a few months older than me. My second is 12 years my junior.
My inside leg measures 30 inches, I have a heart condition and types two diabetes and am admitedly overweight.
Both of my parents are deceased, I have no life insurance and no "expectations" of any large inheritances. The house is 90% in my wife's name as it is likely that I shall die first and that will keep it out of the hands of my estate and any arguments with creditors, children from previous marriages etc. My ex wife has remarried.
Is there anything else you would like to know?

Nothing now left to do except explain the dents in the car to the Hire Company and pay the excess on the insurance. Explain the stains on the clothing to the Hire Company and pay the excess cleaning bills. Explain the extra shopping to the airline and pay the excess baggage charges. Make his apologies to his daughter's in laws, make his excuses to LL, settle the mini-bar bills, reassure LL that she will be the youngest and loveliest grandmother ever, convince airport security that he is not a terrorist and that the bottle of "Fix-o-wig" is essential luggage and return home.Thanks... noooo:

The biological FOTB/ex husband of past 24 years also decided (told us this on the evening before the big day evil:) to give a speech following BM's - personally I would have liked to have told him to **** right off and told him to shove any speech he had right where the sun didn't shine but both the bride and myself are better mannered than that - needless to say that whilst his whingy insincere and obviously taken straight off the internet for the most part speech didn't totally bomb it can very very close to it happy001 happy001 happy001
My opinion of my AW (arsewipe) ex therefore remains the same..................... cussing:

Hello there my darling bar propping poppets razz:
Yes LL is here and now ready to give you the alternate version of BM's story on THE WEDDING !!!
It all went fabulously and thank the heck that the weather was not like it is today (pouring water from the skies) and sunshine shone on us all cloud9:
The bride was cool calm and collected throughout the day (which I didn't expect and had the 'calms' and 'rescue remedy' at the ready - plus the bubbly and G&T's too!) and she looked totally absolutely and amazingly beautiful ;D
MOTB didn't do to bad either (I think) and accepted the administrations of the hired professional make up lady who slapped poly filler and other wonders on her mush to hid the ravages of previous years - even allowed myself to be talked into eye lash extensions so if I look like my other professions is street walking in some of the pics (when we receive them ::)) remember it's not my fault!
MOTB also had a mild almost hyper ventilating panic attack on route to the Church (and me normally so refined and calm) because unknown to me my watch was 15 mins early - so whilst I was under the misapprehension that everything was running LATE in fact it wasn't (phew) and all attendees arrived on time (double and treble phew, phew, phew!!)
My Mother also managed to come to the Church, (we arranged a special taxi which would transport her in her wheelchair and one of the carers from the nursing home to travel with her) to see the young couple wed and I have to admit that when they arrived and I saw that Mum did realise that it was his great granddaughter being wed and she blew her a kiss it made me blub a bit whistle:
The ceremony it's self was fab, the choir sang wonderfully, and even BM said what a great job and what a nice chap the vicar was (high praise from Bm who is let me say 'mildly' skeptically about all things godlike ::))
The reception was in a wonderful venue and the staff had everything well and truly under control and things ran to the correct time scales. Pimm's on the lawn with many photo's, followed by a tasty sit down food fest and then THE SPEECHES............ BM was (and I don't think he will disagree with me on this point) bricking it up to the point the FOTB speech was announced BUT when he then stood up and started his speech he did just FANTASTICLLY happ096 The right amount of humour (which received appropriate genuine laughs) sentiment and thank you's to those involved - I WAS VERY VERY PROUD OF HIM worthy: worthy: The final additional bonus was the fact that the new wig glue worked fine too and now forward slippage of nylon into his eyes occurred eyes:
The only mishap (which I wasn't aware of until the very end of the event) was the red wine spillage onto the back of my very expensive MOTB dress - I can only hope that when we get back to CY and I take it to the dry cleaners it comes out, if not it will then become the most expensive dusting cloth BaldyMort has ever paid for ::) ::)
Well that's the version of events from LL's viewpoint - was it expensive (oh yes, particularly if we add in the additional unexpected cost of the hire car £500 excess penalty for BM's ding ding and if the MOTB outfit re morphs as a duster eeek:) but was it all worth it - as that stupid nodding insurance dog would say ................ OH YES!!!!!!!!!!
So signing off with love to all,
See you back in the bar Tuesday night I think , take care till then
MOTB xxxxxxxxx
If, having decided to get married, why would anyone then wait two years?
Keep your hair on ~ I only wondered why the wait.
Your answer now begs the question ~ Why bother?
NO! Don't tell me ~ just accept that some of us are old fashioned enough to assume that the cart follows the horse and without further information had no way of knowing that your daughter was already living with her intended.
Well ~ let's hope it lasts that long. Now count down quietly eh? There's a love.
LL is here! scared2:

My brother got married (again ) last month. He left his previous wife for my new sister in law - his new bride being 15 yrs younger than him noooo:
Her father was paying for the wedding and they decided that just one day wouldn't do. They hired a place for the whole weekend - family and close friends staying from Friday to Sunday evening, other guests - 120 in total, arriving on the Saturday for the actual ceremony.
Her parents had split and both remarried with new families. They do not get along. eeek:
Her mum also has a big problem with my brother as she considers him too old for her daughter. eeek:
My brother has a child from his previous marriage and my new sister in law hates kids especially when they remind her of his past relationship - she stayed with me in my room eeek:
I had images of a scene from an Agatha Christie novel - 10 go to dinner only 9 finish etc - and then on the invitation for the weekend I saw something that really made me doubt the sanity of the human race. As a way of getting everyone to bond and to get to know each other they had organised a 'shooting' morning (there was a lot of country folk involved in this it has to be said). The invitation even advised that it was possible to store them at the venue if you wanted to bring your own guns eeek: eeek: eeek:
Scenes of a massacre entered my head -I politely declined the shooting match and stayed near the sanctuary of the swimming pool . The shooting went by without much incidence however inevitably the drink flowed later on and some of the individuals lost their tongues and had a bit of a controlled slanging match.
Who in their right mind would have ever considered this to be a good idea eeek:
Trouble is, it's all in his luggage. Liggage now in the bowels of T5 for a year or so noooo:We made it and got all the luggage back but T5 is huge!
Hmmmm a shooting wedding. rubschin:Is there another sort?
I imagine LL and BM are back home now cloud9:Are you referring to the stains at the bottom of my wallet where money used to reside? noooo:
Bet they are knackered lol:
Wonder how the stains are? eveilgrin:
Hi BMThanks you!
Sorry to hear about your cold. Popped in for a quick dry white wine and to hear the news from the wedding of the year. Sounds great fun and glad it all went so well -well, of course it would do with LL and Miss Piggy or Mrs Piggy now's organisational skills and creativity. One cure for red wine staines is white wine. Not sure if it works when the item is dry but might be worth a try if all else fails. At least LL could wear it out to a taverna and smell it which would save on buying wine and therefore recoup some of the money missing from your wallet.

Hi BM
Just thought, if the staines do not come out of LL's frock, you could buy her a bespoke daughter's wedding keepsake box ...
He is clearly paying her for this. whistle:
which the village community generally find to be the source of much wisdom
