What a staggering display of honesty!
More power to his garlic-smelling surrender-monkey elbow.

When we had a pub we bought the very latest in industrial sized micro wave ovens. It was of course made in Japan and came with all sorts of pre-programmed ....... er ........... programmes to cook different things. I promise this is true. The various buttons to be pushed for individual items were marked with the name of the veg/fish/meat etc and the pre-set timings took care of the rest. This is the point ............... One label read Broccori. Honest (would I lie to you?)

We have an all-singing all-dancing microwave but 'cos it is programmed for the Greek market (it took ages to get an Engrish manual) it doesn't have programmes for things like Broccori or jacket potatoes... sad24:

Slipping back to the topic (Now That's a Novelty!!) I have looked all over the BBC website and can find nothing of any note concerning Platini that is not very old news.
I think TMR was having an enigmatic "The seagulls follow the trawlers" moment

My dad took me to see that film at the ABC Cinema in Southampton when my little brother was having his tonsils out. ..................... That must be rubschin: something like 55 years ago

I just Googled it. The Film was made in 1954 so my guess was a year out. eeek:
I do remember my Dad saying how realistic the effects were in the film. "You can almost smell the smoke from the explosions" he said. When we got outside there were fire engines all round the cinema. Seems some arse had stuffed icecream wrappers into one of the air vents and set light to them. Dad died many years later but whenever asked what was the last time he went to the cinema ~ it was that film he had been to see.

In a similar vein, my sister once bought a sweater, a bargain she thought in an Italian market. On returning back to the hotel she was admiring said purchase and took a look at the label with the washing instructions...
