Was that Milligan?

Yes, the funniest man that ever lived in my opinion. It was the Cockleshell Heroes mention that started me looking at some of his stuff posted on Youtube. IIRC, it was in Q7 where he started saying "he was in Cockleshell Heroes" whenever David Lodge use to walk on in sketches. Not as good as Snoopy's anecdote, but a memory all the same

No matter how many times I read them, I still crease with laughter

It's my sisters birthday today, while looking for cards I noticed they do a range of Spike Milligan ones now. One was a blank front, inside was the message "The blank of England"

The one video I was looking for (and didn't find  cry:) was when he went into the kitchen, you heard numerous bangs, crashes, miaows etc for a few seconds and he came out with a dead cat hanging from his hand and said "you're right, there isn't enough room to swing one in there"  lol:

He told a story that when his parents first went over to India on the ship that they were offered coffee. They had never tasted it before and were asked, "black or white", and they answered, "black, with milk in please"
