Title: "Boris Watch" 3
Post by: Pastis on August 21, 2008, 05:45:11 PM

Boris brings his boisterous buffoonery to Beijing.

So far, he's poked fun at the Aussies - fair game, alarmed the Chinese by mentioning a little girl with a brace, baffled them with the English phrase "We take our hats off to you", showed indignation that he wasn't offered an upgrade on his economy flight over there and... well, who knows how many more  lol:

Apparently he's been practising for the take over ceremony; I think rehearsing's the correct term, but hey, it's Boris!

I've just seen that press conference again...

"Had it been us, I don't think we'd have done that switcheroo with the girl with the braces..."

The man's in a class of his own. Go, Boris, Go  lol:

Boris has been rehearsing, so all is safe and well...  whistle:

“The Mayor of Beijing hands the flag to the guy from the IOC, the IOC guy then hands it to me and then I twiddle it around and hand it back.

“That is all completely choreographed,” he said. “There is nothing that can possibly wrong, well, so far.”

" Ping Pongs coming home "  lol:

I heard his sister Rachel talking on Saturday; apparently Wif Waf (aka Ping Pong) is a favourite in the Johnson household, and much championed by Boris  eeek:

I shall keep my shell-like pressed to the doors of City Hall and get back to you  ;)

We have a full size match table in the garage ~ if you ever fancy a game. Boys and daughter play it badly. I used to but can't nowadays.

I used to thrash my nephews (points not corporal punishment) but the elder now has the better of me  surrender:

They have a good size table in the basement on the farm along with a snooker table! Trouble is, with the low ceilings, screwing a colour into a corner pocket can be a bit of a bugger. I imagine Boris doesn't have that problem  eyes:

I shall take up your offer of a game when the next Cestrian relative pops her clogs... morbid as it is, it's likely this winter  sad24:
