I prefer the tab function in it to ie or mozilla.
I also like the little pictures of the websites I visit most often.
I haven't played with it extensively though. The only thing I've found is that you can't reply/forward emails within hotmail with it. Not a problem with me as I use gmail but it maybe for others.

But why aren't they using it? I don't understand! Won't someone please just tell me! Banghead
Because every five minutes, or so it seems, someone else comes along with a new super improved version of something. Mostly they just fvck up your PC and eventually end up costing you money to have them removed and the original working version of Linux or IE or Mozilla restored. Add to that the super geekiness of having to "get the latest" or you are sooooooooooo uncool and people start to build up a resistance. All I ask is that my PC allows me access to the internet (Research and Email), word processing abilities and photograph/document storage. I don't want or need anything else. I don't play games, download movies or music. Everyone who has ever sat at my PCs over the years has said "You ought to try XXX" and frankly everytime I have it has gubbed my machine. If I want faster downloads then I would buy a more expensive machine ~ but would still be at the mercy, as are we all, of BT and the speed of their exchanges and lines. The more bells and whistles anything has the more it is likely to go wrong and the more it will cost to fix.

The spelling checker doesn't werk It doesn't put emoticons where you want them (unless you type them in apparently) I don't like the bookmark bar - it takes up more space than firefox I prefer the firefox buttons for refresh, back and forward
But is is fast...
...and I like the 'summary' or preview when you open a new tab...

Well when I use the cursor to put emoticons in it puts them in the right place everytime. I don't use the bookmark bar so can't help with that.

Of course an alternative is to set your pc to erase your history after each session. This takes care of the local records unless the "experts from forensics" get their hands on it. I doubt that it (Chrome) will hide where you have been browsing from either Google or Government snoopers but it will prevent other users of your PC from seeing which porn sites you've been on.... as will the method described above.

You could always give this one a try, provided your machine can meet the specs..

Not shite. Just cant see the point of it yet. rubschin:
I think it's for those people who were dazzled by the Iphone interface and wanted something similar. Hell of a resource hog for a browser though.
Agreed.
However if you are doing a big search then I can see it being very handy as it opens all the web pages in batches and you can scroll through them.
I imagine it being a bit slow if you have a clockwork internet connection while you are searching though.
Also, if the web pages have sound files on the home page it seems to play them all at once, this results in a godawful cacophany from ones speakers. Or at least it did on my first search attempt.
Worth a look.
