And the fact that he is a practicing vegetarian has nothing to do with his thinking whistle:

His name alone suggest he is a Hindu and they are all vegetarian for religious reasons.
Utter, utter bollox. Man is designed as an omnivore. The problem with our modern diet is not that it includes meat but that it includes too much meat in general and that meat has been engineered (mainly by centuries of selective breeding) to create the product that we now have which our digestive system was not designed to cope with. Evolution will resolve this problem eventually but in the meantime we will suffer.
As for his banging on about Global Warming ~ surely that is now discredited and is used only by Governments as a way of "justifying" yet more inventive ways of prising taxes out of us.

There was a minor incident in Tesco earlier today; a chap was checking out only to discover that the cabbage he'd bought on instruction was priced at £2.15 eeek: Tesco best organic cabbage!
"Bugger that" I overheard, "They'll have burgers!"

Thank you. happy088
Without quoting location or specific price I chipped in that he could probably get one for less than 50p down the road.

I was in Tesco earlier. The branch is in one of the most well-heeled parts of the country. I noticed that all the "Value" stuff had gone. rubschin:

Must be. Most of the follicley challenged Hindus wear orange syrups.
-
Orange syrups made from a monkey's arse ~ I've seen those.
-
Most if not all of the monkey's arses I've seen have been a kind of lurid pink eeek:
I fear we might be straying off topic a little redface:

When did that ever stop us?

True indeed.
What gets up my nose about this article is that he's announcing this in London. The article goes on to say that most of the problem is caused by destruction of the tropical rainforest... In the ones I've been to, only a couple mind, they're not rearing meat there, more like palm oil or bananas.
Squaring the circle... bollux... or more accurately, spin, attention seeking bollux.
