Probably just peeped in to see if you were here or in her neck of the woods. Now she knows where you are she can safely venture out of hiding.  tunble:

She has probably been in the cellar for the last week.

I wouldn't class where Wenchy lives as in London. Some way south of London would be a better description.

Seeing as London is one of the few regions of the UK that is a net contributor to the county's coffers I'd say we would.

True but from my current domicile it is a gigantic pain in the arse to have to drive through or round everytime I want to travel to Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Dorset.

Your SatNav is gubbed if it takes you from Wales to Hampshire or Dorset via the M25.  noooo:

And I don't use Sat Nav

Wales to Somerset via Birmingham and London? Its pretty obvious you don't use satnav. Not even Nick could bugger one up that much.  whistle:

Why would you want to go to Somerset?  They still point at aeroplanes there...

And Wenchy lives in Surrey, god's County.

I am surrounded by Dolts. evil:

I go to Kent, Sussex and Surrey via Birmingham and London.
I go to Hampshire and Dorset via Birmingham and Bristol.
I choose these routes because it enables me to visit rellies on the way to or from the ultimate destination.

I do not own a Sat Nav through choice. I had one given to me and gave it away.

In my first posting that mentioned the places listed above I was making things short and simple ~ clean forgetting the short and simple readers. angry041:

Is that as in 'God had a sense of humour when he created Surrey?'

And what do you mean Snoop. I never mentioned Somerset until you did?  rubschin:

Sorry but I did not mention Somerset. I mentioned Bristol as a place that tended to get in the way and had to be either driven through or round in order to get to Dorset.

Ah, you are right hound sorry. It was some arse behind me talking about going to Somerset when I was typing. Think I need more coffee.  redface:

Do you know the address, or just a lamp post nearby that you use?

Not that I know of. From here to Dorset it is A55, M6, M5 and turn left at Junction 25 then down to Bridport.

With due consideration for your blood pressure, I shall simply point out that you referred to "it" being "a gigantic pain in the arse to have to drive through or round everytime I want to travel to Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Dorset."

This would lead the humble reader to the conclusion that your reference was to the singular city, London, mentioned previously and not the multiplicity of cities mentioned subsequently.  whistle:

You are of course right ~ I should have made due allowance for the readership.
My fault entirely ~ sorry for any confusion.

Despite DS's attempts at a Kofi Anan type peaceful settlement to this, I would like to proffer that the confusion has arisen due, solely, to the vagaries of the hound's post in question.

He then attempts a classic attack mode - citing "the readership" in a dismissive manner.

Attack is the best form of defence, after all.

In summary, I would expect the noble hound to prostrate himself to "the readership" in a gesture of capitulation seeking forgiveness.

If he doesn't, no Bonios for a month and Charlie Brown gets a bullet in the back of the head. Gently.

You'll wait a fvcking long time then mate.

I have already explained the reasons why I take certain routes. That is all you get. If you would rather travel by another route that is up to you ~ but then you would not be welcomed, as I am in, the places I visit whilst travelling because my children and grandchildren would not recognise you.

I suggest we leave it there.
