Title: A 'significant' statement? Sounds like he has the full backing of the 'board'
Post by: Grumpmeister on October 02, 2008, 01:34:03 PM
Maybe I'm being optimistic but this sounds like it could be a farewell to Blair.

Quote
A "significant" statement is expected this afternoon on the future of Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair, the BBC understands.

The announcement follows newspaper reports that he used public money to pay a close friend to advise him.

Sir Ian has previously rejected the suggestion he "behaved inappropriately" on the issue.

Anyone want to start giving odds?

He's been dead in the water for months ~ I'm not betting on it.

True enough but he is far enough up his own arse to try and carry on regardless.
