Title: How very annoying
Post by: Snoopy on December 06, 2008, 12:13:16 PM
My IP has informed me that my email (Their entire email service) will be down for "essential maintenance" until 14.00 hrs at the earliest. All incoming mail will be saved and released when they get back on line.

Well at least they told me which makes a nice change.  evil:

Presumably they have Special Branch trawling the messages.  eveilgrin:

 noooo:

Some people do not like to send their offerings to a web-based email address. They prefer the "comfort" of thinking that the organisation can "afford" a private email address associated directly and uniquely with the name of the product.

If it were as you suggest then why would the national papers bother with their own email addresses?

You are not dealing with an amateur here  whistle:

Meanwhile the email address for those wishing to contact me that is displayed in my profile on this forum is web-based (google mail) but still hides my name.

Personal emails in my name can reach me via Yahoo mail but that is reserved for family.

As a back-up and should all else fail there is another via hotmail

No need BM, emails from Nick follow the Mission Impossible rule:

"This email server will self destruct in five seconds...."
