Serious security flaw found in IE (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7784908.stm)
Yet another flaw being exploited by the evil hackers. Bastards! (that's Microsoft and the hackers) cussing:
Before anyone pops up with should use Firefox/Chrome or whatever the only reason that hackers don't attack them is that it's not cost effect. All browsers have flaws.
BTW have you seen the "I'm a PC" advertising.

Just had a memo round at work to the same effect. Downloading firefox as we speak.
-
Yes...
I used to just have IE on this laptop... not any more... noooo:
-
Cheers Uncle, Firefox downloaded and running sweetly.

It doesn't matter what browser you use, the important bit is having decent firewall/anti-spyware software set up and kept up to date.

The sage breaks his silence to utter wise words indeed.

IE despite all its foibles, is perhaps best supported from a security point of view. People who use other browsers rarely, if ever, get the updates/patches etc which are published quite frequently - they are just as open to attack if things are not kept up to date.
-
But I will still stick to Firefox that updates daily all on its own.

Did you notice he static charge in the air when Tel logged-in...? rubschin:

Indeed but it is good to hear from him ~ I wonder if he'll tell us how things are going in his never ending quest.

How true this last statement is Tel....... I've always been a fan of Firefox etc, but without protection ANY browser is open to abuse.
rubschin: How do we know this is not a 'ruse' by the 'baddies' to get us all to use a browser that they have learned to hack into more easily????.... we'll never know! eeek:

There is a patch now anyway... whistle:

Can it fit our water leak? angry041:
