And leave the OMO in the window rubschin:

I went to Morrisons at 0930. I tried their assorted mini-mince pies last night, bloody lovely  cloud9:, so I grabbed three of the last six boxes on display and the bitter lemon I forgot the other night. Lots of spaces in the car park, no hassle in the aisles, and two checkouts without anybody queuing, I was really surprised. So that's the shopping done, the presents bought, the pork defrosting. Just the presents to wrap later

Thing is, at 1800, I'm gonna remember something I forgot or Mrs JOM is going to say, "I thought you'd got the..."

You wouldn't think the shops are only closed for a maximum of two days.  eeek:

Our local village shop is even open tomorrow 9:30 to 3:00.

When we had pubs I was amazed how many people came beating on the door demanding entry. I normally opened for the lunchtime session only on Christmas day and only for the evening session on Boxing Day but that was never enough for some.
Equally in my early days in retail I managed a jewelers shop in Southampton and we lived above the shop. I had a telephone call at 11pm on Christmas Eve from some twat who claimed he had forgotten to buy his wife a gift and would I mind opening up for him.
I told him where he could go as I had no intention of being knocked on the head by some crook. Turned out he was "genuine" enough to complain to the MD who came moaning to me in the New Year about "looking after the customer base" .... He got told to fvck off too.

There was a distinct shortage of red cabbage yesterday.
Tried 2 different towns before getting a result.

Wouldn't go near Epsom for shopping, would rather take my chances in Croydon, Sutton or Kingston.

When I used to work in a pub I was amazed that people would bang on the door at 11:59 on Sunday morning...  noooo:

And my Interweb business in Cyprus - people call at 10pm Sunday evening and say "I haven't received an e-mail from Aunt Edna that she sent last week".

Wankers!  evil:

I walked in...

Yesterday morning there were 1,000 free parking spaces in the town according to the sign by the station.

At 9:30 this morning there were 115.  eeek:

You are that woman of the Somerfield ad, and I claim my £5

"what are they like", every time she says that I could wrap the tonics round her trap

Was in York Sainsburys at 7.30 this morning. Just me, no Mrs TG. Customers outnumbered by staff. Bliss.
