I did not linger on the handshake, just incase earlier comments about pressing flesh may have been true.
A very enjoyable hour was had, pity I was driving cos I fancied getting rat arsed and going down the docks.
He made the huge mistake of offering to buy me a drink, unaware that when it came to my turn I would have to leave. whistle: whistle:
The hovercraft story was so impressive it could have been a Roal Dahl Tale of the Unexpected eyes:

Must have been a confusing social experiment for Nick.
Fancy a scouser turning up somewhere with nothing worth robbing.
-
Bit worrying this...he said he'd check in here when he got home..that was at 6:15pm..given that it would take him 3 hours to get home he should have reported by now...
I fear he may have called at...
THE DOCKS !!!

Ok I dont know what happened but it sounds cataclysNick even by your standards.
Note to self: If by some quirk of fate I acquire a hovercraft Nick isnt allowed within 10 miles of it. eeek:

I stopped in Ulverstone on the way home (just to see what it was like) and the first thing I saw was the local unconvincing transvestite bumming a light off a Buddhist nun.
Normal for Ulverstone I suppose. confused:

I wouldnt know, Ulverstone is a town in Australia, Ulverston is a town in Cumbria point:
2 interesting facts about Ulverston
1. Birthplace of Stan Laurel
2. It was the original title of Glenn Cambell's " Galveston ", he thought the town was lovely when he visited, but his advisors told him he'd sell more records if he used an AMERICAN CITY

I saw the signs to the Laurel and Hardy museum.
I had that Glenn Campbell in my kitchen once! confused:

Not much else to do there I guess, apart from become a nun or dress up as a woman. Hmmmmmmm I see a theme developing here...........

all those Buddhist monks you see in Ulverston are from Conishead Priory, which is on the coast road between Barrow and Ulverston ( not the road you came on ), it is a place anyone can go to. You have to give up everything you go with and they give you the robes to wear for the duration of your stay. A lot of celebs go there to relax .
