The Archbishop of Canterbury has warned the "systematic humiliation" of MPs is a threat to Britain's democracy ~ Oh has he indeed ~ Well My Lord Canterbury may I suggest, most respectfully, that you attend to matters religious and leave the politics to those of us with a vote, which as a member of the House of Lords, you do not!

If I was the cynical type I'd think that the only reason he made the comments was to steal some of the limelight from his associate's big day.

Has the bloody man no sermon to write?. No hellfire and brimstone to invoke? No ten commandments to promote? No dead to mourn? No prayers for world peace to make? No choir boys to dandle upon his bony knee? No old ladies to fleece of their bequests? Why can he not just act like a bloody vicar, serve indifferent sherry and dispense an air of other worldliness to all who call upon him? Interfering old Welsh fool.

rubschin: I am hard put to think of anything that OH doesn't have an "opinion" about but I happen to think that my opinion and others here are as valid and deserving of a hearing.

I was not disagreeeing. OH tends to be quite, um, forceful eveilgrin:

Too forceful at times. I didn't think you were disagreeing but there comes a time when 'tis better to walk softly and carry a big stick. OH would do well to remember that.
