During a speech to parliament on a wide range of issues, Mr Sarkozy backed an initiative launched by legislators last week who expressed concern over an increase in the use of Burka garments which cover women from head to toe and hide their faces.
Mr Sarkozy said: "The issue of the burka is not a religious issue, it is a question of freedom and of women's dignity.
"The burka is not a religious sign, it is a sign of the subjugation, of the submission of women. I want to say solemnly that it will not be welcome on our territory," he said to strong applause
The applause will be from his wife mainly - never a woman that liked to cover up much whistle:
Can't imagine Gordon ever having the backbone to say such a thing though noooo:
So how long before Sarkozy becomes the subject of a fatwa for speaking such profanities eeek:

Most disturbing one of the women said this about the girls iin the mansion ...
"They seemed very comfortable with the prime minister and in fact they called him Papi [Daddy]. They were in competition with each other as to who could be closest to him.
"They were the same girls who appeared in a video which was being circulated in which they dressed up as Father Christmas."

Ok, the Torygraph's picking it up from Italy's equivalent of The Sun prolly, but....
The three women were supposedly paid to fly to the capital and put up at the exclusive Hotel de Russie.
It is claimed they were driven to Mr Berlusconi's home, Palazzo Grazioli, in a car with tinted windows, arriving there around 11pm. They were greeted by Mr Berlusconi, who is said to have told Miss D'Addario: "I'm happy to see you again." She claimed he was wearing a large amount of orange make-up.
WTF! eeek:
Btw, Nick, you know those 14 Kilos of carrots you ordered from Tesco's... they weren't .... you didn't think .... rubschin:

Up to 30 young women will be questioned by Italian prosecutors as part of an investigation into the alleged procuring of prostitutes for parties held by the prime minister, Silvio Berluscon. These pictures were taken of a couplke of the women in one of his bathrooms - they look like they are so used to high society life noooo:
